River Ridge Lodge is a 5 Bedroom 3.5 bathroom 4,500-square-foot, three-level cabin that features huge soaring ceilings and has artist carvings of bears into the logs throughout the house. The cabin is located on 170 feet of Toccoa River Frontage on over an acre in heart of the Aska Adventure Area in Blue Ridge Georgia. This is a brand new 4,500 square foot log home that features large slow growth Canadian cedar logs with each log being unique. The home was designed and built by a master craftsman and shows the attention to detail throughout. The Toccoa river views can be viewed from just about every room. New upscale designer rustic furnishings offering beauty and comfort. A gourmet kitchen has granite counter tops with a rustic edge, stainless steel appliances and solid Hickory flooring throughout. For outdoor entertaining a magnificent gazebo sits right at the rivers edge. The River Ridge Lodge is also a perfect location for a small intimate wedding or Honeymoon. Other features of the home are a private media room with projection style television system, surround sound system and game room with pool table and hot tub.
Welcome to River Ridge Lodge! The moment you arrive you will be greeted by black bears carved into the front door. The carport support posts have raccons carved into the side of the logs as well. This unique concept was orginated by the builder and commissioned a local artist to execute the carvings.
The cabin has a very large carport and circular driveway that can house up to six cars comfortably. You cannot miss River Ridge as we have a cedar lighted sign out front located right above the carport area.
A Guided Tour of the Cabin........
The Main Floor
Entry Area: As you enter the front door of River Ridge Lodge you will be awestruck immediately by the massive Canadian logs with cut out archway in the entry hall and river rock fireplace that extends 20 feet up to the ceiling. Within a few seconds you will hear the tick-tock of the hickory grandfather clock in the corner and our welcome table with lots of reading material on things to do in the Blue Ridge area. Just off the entry hall is a half bath power room and laundry area that has brand new Maytag top of the line washer and dryer.
The Great Room Area
Great room: From the entry hall you will enter the great room that has wall to wall windows and views of the river and a massive river rock wood burning fireplace that extends to the ceiling. The furniture in this room is magnificent from the custom designed leather and fabric custom designed angled sofa to the matching lounge chairs that both have matching ottomans. You will also find an entertainment center with television and DVD player. As you are taking all this in and look up to the ceiling you will see a antler chandelier that extends the entire width of the room hanging from the ceiling.
The Dining Area
Dining Area: From the great room area you will come though another hollowed out log archway that brings you into the dining and kitchen area. This cabin has a very unique dining table arrangement that has been custom designed to match the furniture in the great room area. Four dining chairs are curved that wrap around the 72" round dining table and each dining chair can seat two guests comfortably. A nice lazy susan sits in the center of the table making it easy to socialize while enjoying your meals. The dining area is octagon in shape with views out to the deck area and river. Two doors off the dining area also lead out to the deck.
The Kitchen
Gourmet Kitchen: The kitchen area is located in the same area as the dining area making ideal for family dining or entertaining. Our kitchen was specifically designed by us so that we could insure we had every possible gourmet luxury imaginable. This gourmet kitchen has GE Monogram everything...from the professional six burner range with double ovens to the top of the line side by side refrigerator and best yet...even double dishwashers and two sinks. The kitchen has extra thick granite slaps with chisel cut edging that it blends in with the rustic design of the home. The kitchen would not be complete without a nice eating bar but we wanted something total new and unique. We found an artesian to build a bistro table for us out of solid cedar tree branches and used the tops of the cedar wood to create five counter height bar stools which allows us the ability to seat 12 guests comfortably in the kitchen and dining area.

Kitchen Amenities:The kitchen at River Ridge Lodge has just about every small appliance we could think of and Cusinart everything. To name a few we have a blender, food processor, bread maker, waffle maker, ice cream maker, four slot toaster, coffee maker and grinder and even a couple of fondue pots. A full set of spices and condiments are also available to our guests.
Outdoor Deck Area: Just off the kitchen and dining area is a large wrap around deck that has two outdoor 48" square dining tables that can be joined together for larger parties. From the deck you have far reaching views of the river and can enjoy the sounds of the water while enjoying meals on the deck. A large stainless steel BBQ is located just outside the kitchen door area.
Main Floor Guest Bedrooms
Guest Bedroom Riverfront Side: The first guest bedroom is on the river side of the house and has lovely views of the river. The bedroom is full logs with a small alcove with wood carvings over the doorway that leads to the deck. This bedroom features a queen size bed with a beauty rest pillow top mattress with the fine bedding ensemble that have moose and bear accents. The furniture in this bedroom is timeless with dark wood and real antique tin plate inlayed into the bed panels. This room also has a chest of drawers large double size nightstands and a 27" television with remote.
Guest Bedroom Front Side:The second bedroom on the main floor is on the front side of the cabin. This bedroom features a Canyon country rustic bed set with Queen size pillow top mattresses, television with remote. Top of the line bedding ensemble with high end comforter, down alternative blanket and soft lush pillows. This bedroom also has a full size armoire that houses a TV with remote.
Guest Bedroom & Bath Entry: Arched entry leads to the two guest bedrooms and bathroom.
Upper Master Bedroom Suite

Master Bedroom Upper Level:The upper Master Bedroom has the best views of the riverfront and you can also listen to the rippling sounds of the river below. Two French doors lead out to a walkout private balcony with a bench for enjoying morning coffee. This master suites features a king size bed with pillow top mattress, and top of the line furniture with a triple dresser and armoire that houses yet another television with remote. This bedroom has custom bedding with a lovely pine cone theme with matching roman window shades.

Master Bathroom Upper Level:The upper master bathroom has a large walk-in shower and jetted bath tub with a very unique rustic chain feature that holds the logs that serve the double vanities. We use top of the line linens and towels with amenity soaps and shampoos that are complimentary for our guests making River Ridge Lodge the perfect cabin for a honeymoon or romantic get-away.
The Loft and Office Area
Loft Area: The loft area overlooks the great room and kitchen with a full log railing. The loft is nice and cozy especially on cold winter nights. Cuddle up with a good book or enjoy the company of others while rocking in the two Old Hickory rocking chair. The decor in this room was custom designed to match the upper master bedroom as it also serves as a lovely retreat area.
Loft Office Area: Just off the great room is the stairway leading up to the loft area . The loft also has double doors that open up to a nice office area with a built in workstation that has high-speed Internet access as well as a printer and fax machine.
The Lower Level Master Bathroom Suite
The lower level master bedroom suite features a Old Hickory King size four Poster Canopy bed with pillow top mattresses and custom bedding and bed panels for a just a bit of privacy. The suite has a small alcove with doorway a leading to the outdoor patio area where the hot tub is located. This suite also has a flat screen television with remote control.
Adjoining the Master Bedroom is a very large Master Bathroom has a large walk-in shower and double sinks, as well as another jetted bath tub. This bathroom also has a separate door that serves as the bathroom for the fifth bedroom when used. High quality professionally pressed 450 count linens are provided along with luxury bath towels and bathroom amenities such as soaps and shampoos provided for our guests.
Lower Level.....the Fifth Bedroom
The lower level fifth guest bedroom features top of the furniture with twin beds both having tall head and foot boards. The room has been custom designed with cowboy western rodeo wallpaper that coordinates with the custom bedding ensemble. Unique stagecoach night lights over each bed for reading at night. The bedroom also has a TV and remote.
Media Room
This is a genuine media room with a 106" Projection style Televsion, surround sound system and mood lighting. Features a large circular sofa with ottomans, a dry bar with bar refrigerator and microwave oven for pop corn. Two large extra chairs on this the room as well.
Game Room
From the main floor stairway takes you down to the lower level of the house and a nice size Family room that has another wood burning fireplace with river rock. A pool table with bar stools as well as a queen size Old Hickory sleeper sofa and lots of board games for the kids. Double French doors extend the entire length of the family room where the doors lead out to the patio area where the Hot tub is and steps that lead down to the river and gazebo area.
Hot Tub Area

Hot Tub: Enjoy the large eight person hot tub in the private area located just outside the family room and lower level Master Bedroom.
Outdoor Gazebo Area
From the outdoor patio area you can take the steps that lead you down to a meandering rock path to the Gazebo at the Riverbank.
The cabin sits on a slight hillside which provides just the right angle for viewing the river from the house. The trees provide nice privacy and are beautiful during fall foliage. River Ridge lodge is the perfect setting for a very small intimae wedding with the lovely walkway and gazebo area to say your vows.
One of the finest features is this large Gazebo with a wood burning fireplace and rocking chairs for relaxing at the River's Edge and professional horseshoe pit. The river is close enough to enjoy the sounds of the river flowing while visiting with friends while dining.
The Toccoa River provides some of the best trout fishing in north Georgia, along with swimming and tubing down the river. The Lodge is on the best River Frontage in the Aska Adventure Area. This photo is a view from the bank showing tubing on the river.
River Ridge Lodge is available year round. The property is ideally suited and centrally located making it the perfect venue for a small intimate wedding, corporate retreats, family vacations, reunions, and group get together.
